Wedding planning can be a stressful task. If a wedding planner isn’t in the budget, or you prefer to DYI, we are creating workshops to give you the benefit of a wedding planner’s knowledge and assistance without hiring one full time. Each week, we will talk about different topics and answer any questions you may have—but the best part is these workshops will be very customized and personal to your individual weddings!
Local wedding planners from Bright Horizon Wedding and Event Solutions will be offering these workshops
hosted at Oso’s Republic (901 North Pennsylvania Street) for brides and grooms to gather information, be part of discussions, get their questions answered and cross tasks off of their to-do lists!
Week 1—Planning Timeline and Budgeting | Saturday, January 6, 2018 | 11:00 am—1:00 pm
In Week 1, we will be discussing how to create a planning timeline and budget. We help spread out tasks to make them chronologically in place and the least amount of stress possible. As for budget, we will discuss different tips on sticking to your budget, cutting items that may not be necessary, where your money should be allotted, and costs that you may not think of.
Week 2—Day-Of Timelines | Saturday, January 13, 2018 | 11:00 am—1:00 pm
In Week 2, we will discuss the best way to lay out the day of your wedding. Between getting ready, photos,
ceremony, and all of the following big moments—there is a lot to take into consideration! We will ask questions to help you get a vision of how you want your day to run and then assist in getting everything in an efficient, stress-free time line.
Week 3—Bouquet Making | Saturday, January 20, 2018 | 11:00 am—1:00 pm
Week 3 is a crafting week! Many DIY brides are going with artificial bouquet. In Week 3, we will consult with each bride prior to meeting as to which supplies to bring for each individual bouquet. As a group, we will go through step-by-step how to make your bridal bouquet and jump in with a helping hand, if needed.
Week 4—Wedding Sign Making | Saturday, January 20, 2018 | 11:00 am—1:00 pm
In Week 4, we will be painting wooden wedding signs. Each attendee will be consulted prior to meeting for a
design. We will create each design and provide all supplies to paint a 12 x 16 sign. These signs are great for
welcome signs, guest book alternatives, or other décor.
Water, tea, and lemonade will be provided for all guests in attendance. Beer and wine will be available for purchase.
February workshop topics will be announced in mid-January!
